The polycarbonate (polycarbonate PC) is an organic plastic material usually transparent, with good optic attributes and ability to resist heat and percussion. Its color can also be opal and bronze but it can be painted with RAL colors. For pool covers, we use transparent polycarbonate.
By the polycarbonate glass, the liberty of the form gains ground, in this way new and surprising solutions come into existence, that’s why we use it for effecting pool covers. The solid or double-walled polycarbonate sheets have an extreme transparency, they are light, flexible even in cold temperature, absorb the sounds intensely, elastic, quasi unbreakable. It is relatively more expensive than the plexiglass, but the polycarbonate is much more endurable, it doesn’t become dull, it is anti-percussion and strains out the harmful UV-rays, too.
Accordingly, this is the most optimal material to make a pool cover. Owing to its many qualities, the polycarbonate has an endurance for 15-20 years.
